Camden Sports Facilities Complete Major Upgrades, Opening New Venues

Camden Council in the UK has completed the phased redevelopment of the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Kentish Town. The work created a sustainable facility that includes a new purpose-built gymnasium for gymnasts and residents with SEND.

Camden Athletic Complex Opening

The $15-16 million Camden Athletic Complex in New Jersey opened on the former Campbell’s Field site. It now serves Rutgers University-Camden teams and the local community with fields for baseball, lacrosse and track.

Kirkham Oval and BMX Works

In Camden, New South Wales, construction of a new $4 million amenities building for Kirkham Oval began in February 2026 and is due for completion in October 2026. Stage 2 of the Kirkham Park BMX Facility also commenced, a $5.56 million project intended to raise the venue to international standard.

Hayter Reserve Upgrade

Camden South’s Hayter Reserve received a $340,000 upgrade for the Camden Rams Rugby Club. The package added a new irrigation system and storage tank, funded through the Council’s Community Support Package.

These projects supply updated training and competition spaces. Residents and clubs gain access to purpose-designed facilities that support a range of sports and user groups.
